Traffic Update

Derbyshire County Council Highways has raised further concerns regarding junction 2 (Treble Bob Roundabout) and is querying the accuracy of the submitted traffic assessment by Great Wolf.
GW have provided only one average traffic figure for the entire Treble Bob Roundabout, Local Highways Authority state that "this only provides a snapshot of the operation of the junction" and are asking to see the delays and queues for every single road feeding into the roundabout.
GW used a computer program to predict future traffic but didn't prove that it can accurately model today's traffic. LHA wants figures comparing the computer predictions against the actual number of cars sitting in queues on a normal day along with video footage and an explanation as to how queue lengths are recorded by the survey company.
GW's traffic software apparently threw out a warning message stating that its capacity results for two of the feeder roads were unreliable and should be "treated with increasing caution."
LHA is asking for "further details regarding the error warning and the impact on capacity results."
This means that GW's claims that these roads will cope with the new traffic created by this development, may be based on inaccurate calculations, masking the potential gridlock on these roads.
