Answer: Yes but at the discretion of Great Wolf, it will depend if the hotel is at full capacity.
QUESTION: How much will the day passes be?
ANSWER: According to the Houston American model it will be as follows...
($1=£0.73) which equates to:
Half Day Pass £35.25
Full Day Pass £50
Week Day Season Pass £80
Anytime Pass £330
QUESTION: What impact will the Proposed Development have on the local road network?
ANSWER: There will, according to Great Wolf's predicted figures, be an extra 1,829 cars per day and a minimum of 48 HGV/ vans per week. 90% of cars are estimated to travel via J30 of the M1, which will especially impact both M1 and Treble Bob roundabouts.
QUESTION: Will Great Wolf widen Gapsick Lane and provide a footway.
ANSWER: We have not found anything in the plans for a footpath on Gapsick Lane.
QUESTION: How long will it take to build?
ANSWER: No timeline has been announced but based on similar large scale projects construction could take roughly 24-26 months.
QUESTION: Is the Secretary of State now making the decision about the Proposed Development?
ANSWER: No, at present Bolsover District Council are dealing with the application and therefore all objections still count and are still to be submitted to Bolsover District Council.
QUESTION: Will the Proposed Development blend into its surroundings?
ANSWER: The Visual Impact document states:
'The new resort would be uncharacteristic of the local area' and
'The magnitude of impact to the landscape surrounding the Site would be Large Adverse' - planning terms for severe, negative impact.
Question: I am not a local resident so why should I put in an objection?
Answer: If this application is approved it could set a precedent for other areas which might affect you
QUESTION: Will Great Wolf lower the height of the buildings?
ANSWER: NO! - the Urban Design Comments document states:
'The applicant has been quite clear from the outset that for their proposal to be logistically feasible they need 7 storeys (100') for this site. The amount of land available is quite limited in size for a resort
QUESTION: If the Authority refuses planning permission and the applicant appeals is the Authority at risk for costs.
ANSWER: Only if the Authority is unreasonable in opposing the application.
