Staff Accommodation

An emailfrom Great Wolf, confirming their plans for the staff accommodation, has been posted on the Bolsover District planning portal (read the letter below).

Whilst we welcome the confirmation of their commitment to local jobs that this would suggest, it does raise the question of how many more cars will this generate?

The original plans were for 200 staff rooms i.e. staff staying on site, generating an estimated 170 staff journeys by car, per day. If most staff will now not stay, then how many more cars can we expect on our already congested roads?

The letter says that no more than 100 staff will stay overnight, so assuming that the accommodation was only one person per room (we know that most of them were 2-4 people to a room) then this would increase traffic by a minimum of 170 journeys a day.
